Walter Leslie SAYLER, 70, prominent farmer and since 1933 a director of the New Market Telephone Company died at 3:17 p.m. Friday, at his home a few miles NE of Waveland. He had been in failing health for two years. Born Nov 17, 1885, he was the son of Francis M. and America VanCleave Sayler. On Oct 23, 1912 - he married Elizabeth Opal Bonwell. He was a member of the New Market Methodist Church and K of P. Lodge. He had been a trustee of the church. Survivors include the widow; 3 sons, Robert, Charles and Ralph, all of near New Market, a daughter, Mrs. Barbara Age of near New Market, a brother, Hubert of near New Market, two sisters, Mrs. Alvan Milligan of Waveland and Mrs. Elsie Steele of New Market and nine grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 3:00 p.m. Monday at the Noble-Reeves Funeral Home, New Market with Rev. JS White officiating. Burial in Indian Creek Cemetery. - kbz
